SettleCanada.ca (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your email address when you subscribe or email yourself a checklist, budget or plan, and anything you include in the contact form.
- Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through analytics.
We don’t ask for immigration case details, government ID numbers or financial account information, and we ask you not to send them.
We use your email address only to send what you asked for and, if you sign up, our newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We use an email service provider to store addresses and send messages on our behalf; it may store data outside Canada. We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, to understand which guides are useful. It sets cookies and collects pages visited, device and browser type, referring site and approximate location based on your IP address. We use this only in aggregate and don’t use it to identify you. Google may process this information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessed under local law. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the site will still work.
Our tools
The landing checklist saves your ticks in your browser’s local storage, on your device only. Budget and transfer calculations run in your browser. We don’t receive this information unless you choose to email it to yourself.

SettleCanada is supported by RemitBee. We don’t sell your information or share your email with RemitBee or any other company for marketing. If you click through to RemitBee or another website, their privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and withdraw consent to emails at any time. Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, protects your information.
