Understand it

How to read a draw.

Each Express Entry round invites the highest-scoring candidates who meet that round’s rules. A general or program round such as the Canadian Experience Class invites from one program. A category round, such as French-language proficiency, healthcare or trades, invites candidates with that background. A Provincial Nominee Program round invites people with a provincial nomination, who already hold 600 extra points.

The CRS cut-off is the lowest score invited. When several candidates share that score, the tie-break date decides who is invited: profiles submitted before that date and time. See your own score with the CRS calculator.

FAQ

Common questions.

How often are Express Entry draws held?
In 53 rounds over about eight months, IRCC held draws most weeks, often several in a row. Dates and types change, so check back after each round.
What is the lowest CRS score that was invited?
Physician rounds had the lowest cut-offs (169 to 223) because they are a narrow category. Among broad draws, Canadian Experience Class cut-offs ranged from 507 to 523.
Why is the PNP cut-off so high?
Provincial nominees get 600 extra points, so their CRS scores are far above everyone else’s.
Can I be invited with a score below the cut-off?
No. You need a score at or above the cut-off, and if you are exactly at it, a profile date before the tie-break.
Where does this data come from?
From IRCC’s published rounds of invitations. We update it after new rounds. Last updated Oct 1, 2026. Always confirm on IRCC’s site before you decide.
